Battersea Covid-19 vaccination programme

Thank you for all your enquiries about the Covid-19 vaccine. Chatfield Health Care is working together with other Battersea practices to manage and run the Battersea Covid-19 vaccination site at The Junction Health Centre. We started vaccinating our patients aged 80 and over from the afternoon of 8 January 2021.

    Over 38 and not vaccinated?

    The NHS has invited all our patients who are over 38 or Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV) for a COVID-19 vaccination. If you are over 38 or in the CEV group and have not heard from us you can now book your vaccination. Please visit www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or ring 119 free. You no longer need a letter.

    The order of priority for each group in the population to be invited to receive the Covid-19 vaccine is as follows:

    Having a vaccine is the best way to protect you from coronavirus and will save thousands of lives.

    You will be able to book an appointment at a vaccination centre or community pharmacy.

    We are continuing to follow the official advice and vaccinating those most at risk first, and those who work closest with them.

    There are now more than 200 sites in London providing this lifesaving vaccination, and more are going live all the time.

    Our practice remains open to deliver ALL primary care services. However, to protect our patients and staff our entrance doors have been temporarily closed to the public

    Our staff are working extremely hard to provide services and care. Thank you for your continued support in a challenging time.

    Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment to limit the spread of coronavirus.

    For medical advice or treatment please ring us on 020 3764 0822 - please be aware our phone lines have been extremely busy during the current pandemic. You will be asked to provide some information about your healthcare need. This is so that we can direct you to the most appropriate clinician or service.

    We are delivering appointments: 

    • Over the phone
    • Video Call
    • Face-to-face (where appropriate)

    Face-to-face appointments are available to all patients where there is a clinical need.

    For a face-to-face appointment:

    • Remember to wear a face covering - unless you are exempt
    • Please use the buzzer to the right of the entrance - a patient services advisor will initially ask you some questions about whether you are suffering from any symptoms of the coronavirus

    If you have a disability or condition which means you cannot wear a face covering or cannot communicate with someone who is wearing a face mask, or require adjustments before your appointment, please let the surgery know ahead of your arrival.

    Online consultation requests for non-urgent help can be made at any time. They will be responded to as soon as possible, usually within two working days. 

    You can visit your local pharmacy for clinical advice on minor health concerns.

    If you require a repeat prescription you will be asked to nominate a pharmacy so we can send your prescription electronically directly to your local pharmacy, without you having to attend the surgery. 

    You can also register to use DoctorLink for an online consultation (see below), or book a telephone consultation via our GP online booking service.


    You must self-isolate immediately if you have symptoms associated with coronavirus, however mild, including a new continuous cough, a high temperature, and/or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste 

    You must self-isolate for at least 10 days from when your symptoms started. You should also arrange to have a Covid-19 test by calling 119 free.

    You must self-isolate immediately if:

    • You have tested positive for coronavirus
    • Someone you live with has symptoms or tested positive
    • Someone in your support bubble has symptoms or tested positive
    • You have been told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace
    • You arrive in the UK from abroad

    DO NOT book an appointment or attend the surgery, a vaccination site, a pharmacy or hospital.

    Our registered patients also have free access to Wandsworth's self-referral getUBetter app that provides self-management information for lower back, back and leg or neck pain. 


      

    Make sure you are:

    • Washing your hands regularly with soap and water. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water is not available.

    • Wearing a face covering in enclosed spaces

    • Staying at least 2 metres apart - or 1 metre with a face covering or other precautions

    Chatfield Health Care provides family doctor services for people living in Clapham Junction, West Battersea and Wandsworth. The surgery occupies purpose-built premises with full disabled access. Facilities available include wheelchair access, disabled parking, induction loop and disabled WCs.

    We are part of South West London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and supply primary care services in accordance with a Personal Medical Services (PMS) contract held with NHS Wandsworth.

    We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

    Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
